Ryozo Tsujimoto (辻本良三, Tsujimoto Ryozo) (born October 18, 1973) is a video game producer and designer. He is currently a Director and Executive Corporate Officer at Capcom.[1]

Early Life

Tsujimoto was born on October 18th 1973. He is the youngest son of Capcom founder and CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto, and the younger brother of current Capcom President and COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto.

Work on Monster Hunter

Ryozo Tsujimoto joined Capcom in 1996 as a planner.[2] An avid video game since early childhood, he knew early on that he would prefer working in a creative industry, stating "I’m the kind of person who would never be good at a normal office work",[3] His early days at Capcom were spent working on various arcade games.

Tsujimoto later moved on to working on home console games. As online functionality was becoming more common in the market, Tsujimoto's work involved planning various online systems at Capcom. It was through this role that he became involved in the creation of the first Monster Hunter game, where he helped plan and direct the structure of the game's online modes.[4] He would continue working on the series, eventually becoming the Series Producer in 2007 while working on Monster Hunter Freedom 2. In this role, Tsujimoto oversees all aspects of game production.[5]

Ryozo Tsujimoto received a promotion in 2018, being made Managing Corporate Officer as well as Head of Capcom's Consumer Games Development Division 2.[6]
